Force Between The Molecules Of A Compound
Force between the molecules of a compound
Good Day....
Force between the molecules of a compound are intermolecular forces and intramolecular forces.
Intermolecular forces examples:
- Dipole-dipole interaction
- hydrogen bonding
- london dispersion
Intramolecular forces examples:
- Ionic bond
- covalent bond
- metallic bond
Intermolecular forces are weaker compared to intramolecular forces.
Example: Hydrogen bond between water molecules to other water molecules (liquid).
Dont have definite shape since the intermolecular forces is week. When heated up, the bond broken and each H2O molecules will vaporized.
Hope it helps...=)
